2021 ISMRM Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude Awards for IMAGINE Lab Abstracts

Our PhD students had 6 great abstracts at ISMRM this year. Burak and Chi won Summa Cum Laude awards (given to top 5% of abstracts) for their work on self-supervised fMRI reconstruction and adversarial attacks on conventional reconstruction methods (co-first authored with Burhan), respectively. Burhan and Hongyi won Magna Cum Laude awards (given to top 15% of abstracts) for their work on multi-mask self-supervised learning and optimization of wavelet-based compressed sensing with deep learning tools, respectively. Great works on advancing MRI reconstruction!

2021 SCMR Early Career Award Finalist

Burhan was a finalist for the Early Career Award in Basic Science category with his work entitled "Physics-Guided Self-Supervised Deep Learning Reconstruction without Fully-Sampled Data for Improved High-Resolution 3D LGE CMR" at the Annual Meeting of the SCMR! An extended version of this work is also available.

2020 ISMRM Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude Awards for IMAGINE Lab Abstracts

Our PhD students had 3 great abstracts at ISMRM this year. Burak and Burhan won Summa Cum Laude awards (given to top 5% of abstracts) for their work on ROCK-SPIRiT and self-supervised deep learning reconstructions respectively. Amir won a Magna Cum Laude award (given to top 15% of abstracts) for his work on dense recurrent neural networks for algorithm unrolling. Great works on advancing MRI reconstruction!

2020-2021 Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship

Burhan was awarded an Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship to translate his impactful work on self-supervised deep learning of MRI reconstruction at CMRR.

AHA Pre-doctoral Fellowship

Burak was awarded a nationally competitive American Heart Association (AHA) Pre-doctoral Fellowship for his proposal entitled "Rapid High Resolution Whole Heart Perfusion MRI for Evaluation of Coronary Artery Disease"!
